When will The Haven open?

We are scheduled to open in late Summer 2019, but we will keep you updated along the way! Your membership will not begin until we open our doors. Your deposit will be applied to your first month's rent once we open.

Our space is in Deschutes Ridge (at the corner of Century and Colorado), perched directly above the Deschutes River - looking down on Riverbend Park and across the river from Farewell Bend Park. The building was built in the 80s and is being completely renovated. That means we have the opportunity to design every detail to be warm, inviting, comfortable and inspiring.

You can sign up to tour the space under construction every Thursday at 4pm here.

Don't worry, we've started some programming and community building before our doors open, so you'll get a chance to experience The Haven before we open.

What amenities does membership include?

  • Access to a beautiful, inspiring private space that combines the best of work and home

  • A wellness room with daily opportunities for yoga, meditation and other mindfullness and intention setting to help you be at your best, whether arrive at work in the morning, or heading home in the evening (wellness membership or punchcard options)
  • A kitchen with complimentary espresso, RIFF cold brewed coffee, local beer, wine, and kombucha on tap
  • A variety of work spaces, including individual work stations overlooking the river, semi-private booths, café tables, communal tables, a bar, dedicated desks and private offices
  • A variety of meeting spaces, including a large workshop room (20+ppl) and a large conference room (12ppl) with sweeping views of the river, as well as 3 smaller meeting rooms. All meeting spaces include a white board and TV/ video conferencing capability
  • An "equipment library" of items you can check out, including bikes, KidRunners, paddle boards and Mt. Bachelor ski passes. Chair lift meeting anyone?
  • The ability to host a larger meeting in a gorgeous space with an AV system, TVs for projection, and an outdoor patio
  • Fiber-optic high-speed internet (a rarity in Bend)
  • Private phone booths for confidential calls
  • Plenty of free parking
  • Easy access to the Deschutes River and the river trail - 15 minutes walk to the Old Mill District
  • 4 Showers
  • A private nursing/pumping space with natural light
  • A kid-friendly space for those emergency meetings when your childcare fell through

  • A downstairs common area and large patio and grassy area overlooking the river, where you can work, meet or recharge
  • Printer, scanner, fax machine
  • Meeting space reservations at an affordable membership rate (in addition to your free credits depending on your membership level)

How many memberships are available?

There are only 200 total memberships available, and we expect to sell out quickly:

  • 50 Social Select memberships
  • 80 Part Time Flex memberships
  • 60 Full Time Flex memberships
  • 11 In Residence dedicated desks
  • 13 Private Offices

What is the value of being a member?

There are both tangible and intangible benefits to being a member of the Haven.

Your membership practically pays for itself if you think about the money you and guests spend buying drinks at coffee shops or grabbing a beer or glass of wine at the end of the work day. (yep, you can even bring your spouse/partner in as a guest!)

Intangible value comes from:

  • Leaving behind the distractions and loss of productivity at home
  • Getting time back that you currently waste driving between meetings at various locations throughout the day
  • Gaining inspiration and new ideas from the community and programming at The Haven
  • Having a professional place to meet with clients

Also note the rent you pay for a coworking membership is tax deductible as a business expense.

Who can be a member?

One of our core values is inclusivity. The Haven was designed by women, for everyone. We aspire to be a place that supports women, including those who are traditionally underserved and marginalized, on the journey to equity. We aspire to be a space for people of all genders, identities and backgrounds to help figure out how we can be better to ourselves and to each other. Building a space that is truly welcoming and inclusive to all is difficult, and we know we won't always get it right, but we're committed to learning and listening and leading.

We ask you to fill out an application so we can learn more about you, what you care about, what you're working on, and what you're looking for in a community. The number of Haven memberships is limited, and memberships will be sold on a first come-first serve basis. Once a membership level is sold out, you will be placed on a waiting list and notified once a spot is available.

Who is the Haven designed for?

  • Entreprenuers who are looking for inspiration, collaboration, resources, referrals, feedback and mentoring
  • Sole proprietors, consultants and small business owners who are looking for a community to learn and grow with
  • Remote workers who are looking for a place where they can be productive but not alone, as well as opportunities to get more involved in our community
  • Non-profit leaders who are looking for inspiration, collaboration and resources
  • Public officials who need a place to meet, work and think
  • Women taking a break from the workforce - perhaps to raise children - but who want to keep a foot in the professional world or just have a home away from home to check email or attend a class
  • Retirees who want to continue to learn and grow and/or want to give back to the community by serving as a mentor or advisor

Can I bring guests into the space?

Absolutely! During your hours of access, you can bring guests into the space for up to 1 hour for a meeting with you. Welcome them with a free beverage of their choice and select an available booth or table or reserve a private meeting room.

Want to bring someone in for longer than an hour? Use one of your included full-day guest passes or they can purchase one at half price as your guest.

When you reserve a meeting room, you can bring in as many guests as is the capacity of that meeting room for as long as you have reserved the room. (e.g. if you reserve the conference room for 2 hours, you can bring in 12 guests for 2 hours)

Can I adjust my membership level?

Yes, as long as the membership level you are requesting has availability. If your desired membership level is unavailable, you’ll be added to a waitlist.

Can I put my membership on hold?

No. You can stop and start your membership at any time. However, we cannot hold your space. If you stop your membership and a space is no longer available at your desired membership level, you will not be able to join again until a space is available. Each time you re-start your membership, there is a $50 set-up fee.

Do hours roll-over from month to month?

No. Membership hours, full-day passes and meeting room credits do not roll over to the next month if unused.

How do meeting space reservation credits work?

Depending on your membership level, you have a number of credits to use each month to reserve meeting space. Additional meeting space usage can be reserved at an affordable membership rate. Each meeting space requires a different number of credits.
