Coworking Hacks: Creative Ways to Use Your Coworking Membership

Sure, you know all about coworking spaces and how they work. They’re collaborative, flexible workspaces where remote workers and freelancers can be productive without the distractions of home. But did you know there are many more ways to utilize our coworking space? Here, we’ll explore some unique ways to utilize your coworking membership at The Haven—or provide you with some reasons why it may be worth joining.

Host a lunch and learn

If you’ve been looking for ways to get more leads, generate revenue, or spread the word about your business, a “lunch and learn” could be your next step. In these interactive lunch events, hosts can capitalize on having the attention of a group while they enjoy a catered lunch.

Use A/V-equipped meeting rooms to present ideas, pitch your business, offer community building, host a social mixer, or sell a ticketed knowledge-sharing seminar to professionals seeking your expertise. Our events team can help you arrange catering, while people with a coworking membership get exclusive deals on room rentals.

Record webinars and trainings

Do you have training videos to create for employees? What about pre-recorded webinars as your next lead magnet? Either way, members can leverage the podcast recording studio to create audio, video, or both.

These training videos are great for parents with upcoming maternity or paternity leave, or entrepreneurs looking to use webinars as an opt-in. Heck, you can even use the green screen and microphone to… record a podcast!

Take an extended vacation in Bend

What’s great about working remotely or being self-employed is the flexible work schedule. Oftentimes, this means the opportunity to travel for an extended period of time. If Bend has been on your bucket list, you’re in luck. The Haven offers punch card passes for out-of-towners to have a productive place to work in between skiing, paddleboarding, mountain biking, and overall exploring.

Meet with clients

While this might sound obvious, many people are surprised to find out that they can meet with clients, prospective clients, and partners within the flex space without needing to reserve a meeting room. Of course, we can’t guarantee privacy, but memberships offer several hours of guest time each month.

This works out great for people like real estate agents who don’t have an in-brokerage office and want to meet in a professional setting. During the spring, many CPAs take advantage of smaller meeting spaces to confer with clients before tax season.

Launch your product or service

Do you have a new product or service that deserves a grand reveal? Gather in one of the rentable meeting or workshop spaces to host your reveal party! Now, this doesn’t need to be a party, per se. But rooms like The Library are perfect for hosting a small crowd for your brand reveal.

Improvised networking

You know the saying, “where focus goes, energy flows,” right? Well, spend enough time around like-minded individuals and entrepreneurs, and you may find your next project or collaboration. Within the Café (kitchen and lunch area), “coworkers” take breaks to chat.

Here, many project ideas have been born and have eventually come to fruition. Take the time to introduce yourself to new people when they’re up for mingling or in the break area spaces.

Short-term dedicated workspaces

Looking for a deep work session, but don’t have a dedicated workspace? Consider using your meeting room credits for a deep dive in a phone booth or meeting pod. These smaller chat spaces aren’t just for phone calls and Zoom meetings—they’re a great place to get some quiet, distraction-free work done that requires a bit more focus like writing or brainstorming.

Start leveraging your coworking membership

Are you ready to start utilizing our coworking space better? If you’re a part-time or full-time member, be sure to book these reservable resources through your Haven app. Not yet a member? Come by for a tour, and let us show you how coworking could change your work life!
